In Memory of Ronnie Chisholm

It came to my attention recently that Ronnie Chisholm (one of our club members) had died. Ronnie had died very suddenly but peacefully on the 27th July 2021 at home, Lovat Road Inverness.

I spoke with his widow Gwynneth this week who informed me that Ronnie very much enjoyed his visits to our club, and that he would be very pleased to know that it continues to flourish. Gwynneth contacted me through our web site and asked if our club would be interested in some of Ronnie’s woodturning magazines and books, she also mentioned there were some wood blanks that she knew Ronnie would be pleased to know were being put to good use, it was during this conversation that I learned of Ronnie’s death.

In addition to being a member of our club Ronnie was also a member of the Inverness Mens Shed, it was at the Men’s Shed in the spring of this year that I along with Errol Levings last saw and spoke to Ronnie, It came as quite a shock to both of us to know he had died so suddenly.

Our club sends you Gwynneth and your family our deepest sympathy for your loss, Ronnie will be sadly missed by all our club members.

Gwynneth sent me this photo of Ronnie, for those who may have known Ronnie by seeing him at our club but were not that familiar.
