Our next meeting on the 13th October 2022 is another SHOWTIME meeting, this will be the last SHOWTIME meeting for 2022, so let us have a good show with lots of entries. The meeting is managed by Alan Geddes with me being the compere. The usual criteria apply, bring along anything that you have made and let the members see it or them as you can bring more than one item, you can also have the opportunity to talk about what you have made.
Report to me (Alec Mutch) when you arrive and you will be given a number for when you are called upon to show your items, keep them under cover until it’s time for you to be called, you can talk about your item or items or have me do the talking for you.
We have had quite a few of these Showtime meetings since 2018 when it was first introduced, all I have to say have been very successful to date with lots of our members taking part, this has meant we have quite an extensive library of pictures to draw from, here are just a few.
Now that you have seen what has been Shown at previous Showtime meetings you can see the variation on what has been shown is extensive, so bring along anything you have made recently or indeed in the past, do not think because you may be new to woodturning that your work is not worthy of being shown, anything you make is worthy of being shown and if you have a story about any item we would all love to hear that too, so do take part.
The usual raffles will be on sale and we are starting the sale of raffles for the bumper draw at our last meeting before Christmas, we are also looking for members to donate something for that raffle, wine and spirits are always very welcome. The draw will happen on the 8th December 2022 along with the Christmas woodturning competition.
